Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Privacy Policy explains how SID (also referred to as SIDSUPPLY, “we”, “us” or “our”) handles personal information when you visit sidsupply.com, contact us about China sourcing and procurement support, or submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form connected to our business.
For privacy questions or requests, email info@sidsupply.com.
Information we collect
Information you provide. Our website inquiry form asks for your name, email address, product or product link, and sourcing requirements. You may also provide your phone number, quantity and destination, preferred type of support, and other information relevant to your inquiry. If you contact us by email, WhatsApp or WeChat, we receive the information you choose to share through that channel.
Lead form information. If you submit a Facebook or Instagram lead form, we receive the contact details and answers included in that form. Depending on the fields shown, these may include your name, email address, phone number, company details and sourcing needs.
Website and device information. Website hosting and security services may process technical information such as your IP address, browser type, requested pages, timestamps and error or security logs. If you allow optional cookies, analytics and advertising services may also collect device identifiers, page visits, referral information and interactions.
Please provide only information relevant to your business inquiry. Do not send payment card details, identity documents or other sensitive personal information through our inquiry or lead forms.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Review your sourcing requirements and respond to your questions.
- Discuss suppliers, quotations, samples, project scope and potential cooperation.
- Provide and coordinate sourcing or procurement support you request.
- Maintain relevant business correspondence and follow up on your inquiry.
- Operate, protect and improve the website, prevent spam and troubleshoot problems.
- Understand website use and measure advertising performance, subject to your optional cookie choices.
- Meet applicable legal obligations and address disputes or misuse.
We do not treat an inquiry as permission for unrelated marketing. Where separate permission is required for promotional communications, we will seek it. You can ask us to stop promotional messages at any time.
Facebook and Instagram lead forms
When you submit a lead form connected to SID on Facebook or Instagram, your submission is used by SID to review your request, contact you through the details you provide, and discuss the sourcing services you are interested in. Our handling of that information is governed by this Privacy Policy.
We do not sell personal information received through our lead forms. We do not require you to purchase a service merely because you submitted a form. You can request that we stop follow-up messages or delete your inquiry information by emailing info@sidsupply.com, subject to any records we need to retain for legal reasons.
Meta also processes information when you use its platforms, including information that may be prefilled in a form. Meta’s own processing is described in Meta’s Privacy Policy.
How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that support website hosting, email delivery, security, communications, analytics and advertising measurement, as needed for those services. Optional analytics and advertising tools are subject to the choices described below.
Where needed to carry out sourcing support you request, relevant project information may be shared with suppliers, inspection providers, logistics providers or other parties involved in that work. We aim to limit shared personal information to what is relevant to the task.
We may also disclose information when required by law, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect legitimate rights and security. External websites and messaging services have their own privacy practices.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
The website uses cookies and similar technologies. Necessary cookies support website operation and remember your privacy choices. Optional tools include Google Analytics for understanding website visits and Meta Pixel for measuring advertising performance. These services may process cookie identifiers, browser and device information, page URLs and interaction events.
Use the website’s cookie notice or Cookie settings control to accept, reject or change optional Statistics and Marketing categories. Sending a sourcing inquiry does not require accepting optional analytics or marketing cookies. Read our Cookie Policy for more details and preference controls.
You can also manage cookies through your browser. For third-party information and controls, see Google’s Privacy Policy, Google Analytics opt-out, Meta’s Cookie Policy and Meta ad preferences.
If you choose to play an embedded YouTube video, your browser may connect to YouTube or Google and share technical information. Their processing is explained in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Retention and security
We retain inquiry details and business correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to requests, support our business relationship, maintain relevant records and meet legal obligations. The appropriate period depends on the information and the purpose for which it is held. Cookie retention is described separately in our Cookie Policy.
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please contact us before sharing confidential or sensitive documents so that a suitable sharing method can be agreed.
International processing
SID provides sourcing and procurement support in China. If you contact us from another country, your information may be accessed or processed in China. Hosting, communication, analytics and advertising providers may also process information in other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires safeguards for a transfer, those requirements apply.
Your choices and requests
You may choose not to provide optional form fields. Without the required contact and sourcing information, we may be unable to respond meaningfully to your request.
Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights to request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; receive a copy of information; or withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Withdrawal does not change the lawfulness of earlier processing. Where relevant, you may also raise a concern with your local data protection authority.
To make a request or stop follow-up communications, email info@sidsupply.com with enough information for us to identify your inquiry. We may need to verify your identity before responding. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or resolve a dispute.
Children’s privacy
Our services are intended for business buyers and are not directed to children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so that we can review the information and take appropriate action.
Updates and contact
We may update this policy as our services or information practices change. The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.
